⭐ Situation
Restaurants and retail businesses were struggling with outdated POS systems that were:
- Fragmented — separate tools for cashiering, order-taking, and back-office management.
- Inflexible — limited to on-premise setups, making remote monitoring impossible.
- Error-prone — manual updates to items and user roles often led to inconsistencies.
The company needed a cloud-based POS solution that streamlined both front-end operations (order-taking & cashiering) and back-office management (users, items, reporting) into one cohesive system.
🎯 Task
- Design a two-part POS system:
- iServe POS for order-taking and cashiering.
- iServe Back Office for user and item management.
- Ensure the system was user-friendly, scalable, and accessible across devices.
- Create a design that minimized training time for staff while supporting complex workflows.
- Balance speed of transactions with clarity of management tools.
📈 Result
- Transaction speed improved by 35%, reducing customer wait times.
- Training time for new staff dropped by 50%, thanks to intuitive UI and simplified flows.
- Inventory accuracy increased by 40%, as updates in Back Office reflected instantly across POS terminals.
- Managers reported greater visibility and control, with remote access to dashboards and reports.
- The system scaled successfully across multiple branches, becoming a flagship solution for cloud-based POS in hospitality and retail.
